X in relation to dance
I had such an amazing time doing this assignment! I rarely use X for posting; I mainly scroll and keep up with current events on the platform. This was very different for me, so I enjoyed the challenge!
For my live X assignment, I chose the Freed Center for the Performing Arts’ homecoming performance. This was a dance show where the ONU dance company collaborated with Inlet Dance Theatre, based in Cleveland, OH. This company came to ONU two weeks ago and began working with students in master classes and rehearsals.
Due to the nature of live performance, I was able to watch this show more than once. I decided my best course of action would be to see the show Saturday night, gather my thoughts on how I wanted to structure my live X assignment, and then go back to the show on Sunday afternoon to actually do the live tweeting.
I liked how I structured my tweets. I started with promotional content and a warning, but once the show began, I introduced each piece being performed. After each piece, I posted two tweets: one reviewing the piece just shown and another introducing the next one.
One thing I found challenging was finding descriptive words to use for each dance number. There were eight in total, and you can only use "incredible" and "amazing" so many times before it becomes redundant. It pushed me to think outside the box in how I describe live performances. Overall, I enjoyed this assignment and am beginning to be interested in different ways to market through X.

This dance show was one of the most impressive dance performances I've ever seen. I really regret only getting to see it once. I should've gone both days. I'm so glad you got to support and post about this moving performance.
