Pinterest!
The first concept I noticed in my social media measurement board is that not all social media platforms are created equally nor are they all useful for the same thing. Many of them are useful in their own ways. A few of my pins have statistics on monthly active users, how much they grow, and what the daily activity is like across several different platforms. This relates to several chapters of the book in which each social media platform runs through their analytics.
The second concept I noticed was what time of day is best to post. Again, this relates to many chapters of the book, specifically the chapters on each platform individually where you see the analytics of what time of day is best to post. I also see this concept in the Simternship social media audit. This concept is very helpful for marketers to schedule their posts.
The third concept I noticed was the use of visual media. Pinterest is all about images, so to make the pins eye-catching and unique, all of the pins use different graphics to capture the viewer's attention. Some of these pins were very nice to look at while others were a bit too chaotic for my liking. I am familiar with canvas and do a lot of graphic design for personal use in my free time so it is interesting to see what companies play with in their visual media.
Overall, Pinterest is maybe too unorganized for me to really have a good look at social media measurement. I think the difference in all of the visual media and the way they are structured is too messy for me to stay organized. I chose the pins I did because most of them were easy to look at and read, however a few of them just held too much information. There also is an issue with numbers and analytics in Pinterest because many things are out of date, one of the pins I chose was from 2017. I personally will not be using Pinterest again for anything regarding numbers and organizational things like this, it is a great platform for outfit inspiration though.
